Hey peaches! Welcome to another episode of the Peach, Please! Podcast!
This week I am talking to Maura Cosgrove, the founder of Ethical Bodies. Maura believes getting dressed should be FUN! Her life-long love of thrifting has recently evolved into an Instagram shop called Ethical Bodies, where she curates vintage + modern threads specifically for plus sized bodies to shop. Ethical Bodies was born from years of feeling frustrated with the lack of representation in the sustainable fashion community and constantly finding gems while thrifting and thinking, "someone NEEDS this". Her goal is to provide plus sized bodies with clothing that is affordable and makes them feel fierce! She also shares her personal style, travels, and life in St. Louis on her personal IG account @go.maura.go. Maura lives in St. Louis, MO with her boyfriend and pup. She loves to travel and explore her city and believes everyone deserves to feel comfortable in, and love their body. Her personal body-love journey is ever evolving. Maura hopes to inspire others to experiment with color, pattern, texture, and to break the age old "fashion rules", we as fat people, are told to follow. Wear what you want and what makes you feel best!
On this episode Maura and I talk about reclaiming the word fat and our relationship with our bodies, shopping second hand, finding your style and so much more!
